I originally posted this on my IG last Friday but I want to personally share and elaborate certain matter's here. As I said on my post,"talking to them was like reading a Biography and a Prologue was unfolding before me". Talking to these to lodi's build a sense of excitement on me. Personally hearing their learning's and experiences about life in general has given me inspiration and information which added to my lil' jar of learning's.
Elders who have been successful in their life, has this way of conveying their messages with certain dignity and humility on it.These two LODI's in their prime has reached the pinnacle of their career, one is a former Provincial Secretary and the other is the Provincial Commander then, but I did not see any traces of ego. Have you remember that the old filipino proverb about the Palay/Unhusked Rice? this proverb states: "Imitate the Rice stalk, the MORE GRAINS IT BEARS, the LOWER IT BOWS".
Seeing these two LODI's made me realize that success, achievements, authority and power is never a KEY to make others feel inferior.
After our conversation I realize, power and authority will dissipate, strength may wither, but your positive influence over others will flourish. I became a fan of these two gent's. Certainly, experience will help you became wiser and a better human being.
